About GVIP

The Greater Value Industrial Project (GVIP), is an industrial hemp project aimed at researching and developing agro-processing capabilities to create a future of work for economic opportunities in the hemp biomass market. And create an industry-specific training space where we can guide and upskill emerging entrepreneurs on the compliance and regulatory requirements of participating in the Free Market.

GVIP focuses on a Net-zero carbon intuitive that aligns with the Just Energy Exchange(JET), The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism(CBAM), Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) and offers a green bio-coal solution to South Africa’s energy crisis.

Cultivation and Processing of Industrial Hemp into bio-char and coal will carry economic benefits for those communities directly affected by the production. As well as unlocking and validating IP [Intellectual Property] for the various partners aligned with us, to access through Research and Development activities.

Our entire process we wish to align with the Verra Carbon Standard as well as the South African Carbon Registry as we believe in the value of reducing carbon taxes as well as increasing the value of the local Carbon credit reserve.

GVIP’s approach to implementation on the farm would be centred around adding relevant training material at various parts of the cultivation and production of bio-char and coal phases. Understanding one or two cultivars and putting it into a testing phase to see what planting methodologies would suit best for biomass. The seed production for further strain adaptations and to-market implementations form part of our project.
